Firm86 builds Playwright suites, moves suites onto Playwright from Selenium and Cypress, and makes flaky suites trustworthy again. Every engagement here is in that one framework, and there is no second practice behind it.
Engineers are billed hourly, from $50 an hour, and every engagement takes a minimum of one full-time engineer for one month except the suite audit and training, which are bought by the hour on their own.
What we do not do
- Native mobile apps. Playwright drives browsers. We test mobile web; we do not drive an iOS or Android application.
- Load and performance testing. Playwright is not a load tool and we do not sell it as one.
- Security testing. Not our work.

How an engagement starts
You tell us the job
Most teams already know it: a migration off Selenium or Cypress, a suite built from scratch, a suite that has gone flaky enough that nobody reads the red runs. We scope that and start.
Or an audit first, if you want one
Optional, and plenty of engagements skip it. We read the suite and the pipeline and write up what is covered, what is not, what is flaky and why. Billed by the hour with no minimum attached; how long it takes depends on the size of the suite and how much of its history is readable.
The work
In your repository, with your team reviewing the pull requests. Which of the four delivery locations your engineers sit in is settled before the work starts, and it is the same decision that sets the rate.

Do you work in anything other than Playwright?
No. Firm86 reads and understands the framework you are leaving, which is the part of a migration that takes the time, but everything we write and everything we hand back is Playwright.
Who will actually be on this, and what does it cost?
Engineers are billed hourly, from $50 an hour, and the rate depends on which of the four delivery locations yours sit in, which you are told before the engagement starts. The minimum is one full-time engineer for one month on every engagement except two: the suite audit and training are bought by the hour, on their own, with no month of anybody's time attached, and training is billed at its own rate, which its page states. The company is 75 engineers across the United States, Argentina, Poland and Ukraine, and all of them work in Playwright.
Can you test our iOS and Android apps?
No. Playwright drives browsers. It can emulate a mobile browser, which covers a responsive web app on a phone-sized viewport, and it cannot drive a native iOS or Android application. If that is what you need, we are the wrong company and we will say so on the first call.

A repository link and the last week of CI runs is enough to tell you something useful. If you already know what you want done, say that instead — we do not need an audit to start. The first email settles which engagement this is, and if it is none of them we say so rather than scoping something we do not sell.
